oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah ho!

a long hiatus since my last blog post. as the title suggests, this post is related to yog. (oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah...) went for the CR3 yesterday, tickets by courtesy of zhongyang, at marina floating platform. brought bro, mum and dad along.

probably because it was a rehearsal the opening ceremony was not a whole yet.. one of projection on the screens was off and i guess the screen wasn't fully descended yet. a lack of wholeness, can't exactly capture the attention of viewer throughout the proceeding of the opening ceremony.

hopefully everything will be pieced out perfectly by the actual opening ceremony and eventually singapore can wow the international audiences with the inaugural yog opening ceremony.

didnt take a lot of pictures for the oc itself because photography was prohibited. ended up taking loads of photo of marina bay sands and double helix bridge. oh, and the yog park too!
at the rehearsal. nice seats we got, nobody around and it seemed like reserved area. those sitting beside us were all the yog volunteers.
the yog park, just next to the floating platform. i supposed it is here to stay. quite a pleasant place to linger albeit the small area.
initials of the youth olympic games.
double-helix bridge with marina bay sands. ideal for photo-taking with the glittering lights everywhere.
this is situated at the marina bay sands shoppes. a gigantic bowl-like structure which is transparent. there's a hole in the middle for people to toss coins through it. like a wishing bowl but it does magic. you can speak to people from around the bowl because your voice will be magically magnified and conversation can occur with people around the bowl. i talked to this blonde lady who asked me to wave so that she could identify me. she commented that this is better than facebook. people around burst into laughters! MUST TRY!
a miniature model of marina bay sands located in the hotel. looks cool but construction is still in progress.
these cool-looking 'buggies' are actually a mode of transportation for the hotel guest. extravagance man! one of them is actually a rolls-royce!
view of the floating platform from the double helic bridge.
double-helic again!
the interior. opening of the folds of a fan.
my favourite picture of all. the bridge and mbs with their reflections!
lastly, the advertising banner of the yog 2010! may the event be a success and may singapore athletes prove their worth in this world-wide competition!

signing off humming to the tune of the yog cheer song. oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah~
