watching yog makes me feel old..

yes. feeling old is the thing. watching youthful 14 - 18 compete on the world stage never fails to jolt me back to reality. never fails to remind me that i am already 20 this year. promising 14s, 15s, 16s, 17s and 18s seized their chance to shine on this platform, putting their best foot forward in the world first youth olympic games.

thinking back, what were we doing when we were 14 - 18? what was I doing when I was 14 - 18? I hate to say I was busy paving my path to jc and subsequently university. although there was cca to make up for the lack of non-academic fields, many a time studies was still the priority. can't afford to fall back in this paper chase they say.

watching people of younger age achieving more in their game of life, taking control of their life and realizing their dreams urges me to reflect on my own. what have i achieved? what have i made out of twenty years of my life. pondering..

witnessing the the victory ceremony of the various sporting events.. how does it feel to stand on the winning podium? how does it feel to have an olympic medal slung over your neck? how does it feel to hear the crowd roar? i guess it's beyond words. it's beyond me.
