Love Cuts talks about two women suffering from breast cancer. Si Si a seamstress and Kristie a model.

Si Si, a mother of two, is married to a husband from Hong Kong. The family moved over to Singapore and her husband worked as a restuarant manager. Si Si's husband happened to experience midlife crisis and this seems to strain their relationship.

When the doctor diagnosed Si Si with 4th stage breast cancer, her world came crashing on her.

Kristie, a budding model, has just set her track for her future. She's in a relationship with her boyfriend who is keen to marry Kristie. However, she does not know if her boyfriend's love for her is genuine. The news of her early stage cancer put her future and relationship at stake.

I like the plot of the story as it portrays two women with distinctly different fate. Si Si who wanted to go for an operation to remove the tumour badly but was refrained because her cancer has metastasized. On the other hand, Kristie was encouraged to go for an operation as her cancer was still at an early stage. However, she procrastinated as she had her concerns.

Love Cuts provides viewers with real life experience of breast cancer patients and highlights the fact that cancer can be prevented/cured if detected at an early stage. A health promotion film which is rare in the market. Ideal to bring family members to watch the movie together!

In the movie, they mentioned "a patient suffering from an illness must be stronger than people around them as they themselves know their condition best. people around the patient are equally lost as they do not know what they can do to help the patient feel better".
